The Assistant Director supports the Director in the daily operations of the center, helping to create and maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff. This role assists with staff supervision and scheduling, family communication, enrollment, and ensuring compliance with MSDE licensing standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a licensed child care center preferred
• Meets MSDE administrator/assistant director qualifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Suite is preferred
• Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance

The Lead Teacher demonstrates leadership abilities by creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for all students, crafting a classroom conducive to learning through a variety of appropriate teaching strategies. Work includes delivering academic instruction, administering assessments, conducting parent-teacher conferences, supervising teacher assistants and substitutes, and assisting students with potty training.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed at least one full year of experience working with preschoolers in a licensed child care center, nursery school, church-operated school, or similar setting, OR a degree in a related field
• Meets MSDE preschool teacher requirements
• 90-clock certification, or willing to attain once hired
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• A well-developed philosophy on early childhood education that parallels the mission of Right Start Academy
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs

Teacher Assistants demonstrate the ability to assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment for all students, helping craft a classroom conducive to learning. Work includes preparing materials for academic instruction, assisting children during instruction and with other basic needs, communicating with parents, and cleaning and sanitizing the classroom and materials.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must have reliable transportation
• Computer literacy and ability to use apps and programs for daily reports and classroom activities
• Experience working with preschoolers in a licensed child care center, high school child development program, nursery school, or similar setting is preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs

The Kitchen Coordinator prepares and serves nutritious, CACFP-compliant meals and snacks for our students each day. This role maintains a clean and organized kitchen, follows food safety standards, manages food inventory and ordering, and accommodates food allergies and dietary needs in accordance with center policy.

Minimum Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or a commercial kitchen preferred
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, CACFP meal pattern requirements
• Food safety certification preferred, or willingness to attain once hired
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

The Program Support Specialist works alongside the Director and Assistant Director to keep daily front-office operations running smoothly. This role supports enrollment and tuition administration, greets and communicates with families, maintains student records, helps schedule tours, and provides light classroom support as needed.

• Experience working with children in a school, child care, or similar setting preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Computer literacy and comfort with office and scheduling software
• Friendly, professional demeanor with families and staff
• Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance
